PICKLING SPICE:  Classic pickling spice for dill pickles and other sour pickles. Use 1-2 Tbsp per pint of pickles. Did you know that it's really easy to make quick pickles with lots of different kinds of veggies? Our basic recipe per pint of quick pickles is to make a brine of 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar + 1 Tbsp kosher salt, heated until the salt is dissolved. Remove from heat and add 1 cup ice water. Put 1-2 Tbsp pickling spice in the bottom of a pint jar, pack with sliced veggies, add brine up to the top so all veggies are covered. Cap securely and turn the jar back and forth to distribute the spices. Refrigerate and wait for 24 hours, and then enjoy! Quick pickles will last in your fridge for several months, if you can resist eating them all right away! Ingredients: Mustard seed, dill seed, allspice, coriander, red pepper flakes, bay leaves, black, green, white and pink peppercorns.
