A Peek into the Past

A Peek into the Past

Here's photos of the farm at the end of 2024.  These photos offer a quick glimpse of where we're at. You'll see our dedicated barn cats peeking out their hay barn.  These cats don't accept pets, and do a fine job of keeping the feed corn and whole oats rodent-free.  Then there's the star of the show, our lead stallion, Jefe, enjoying this year's first snow.  Jefe, as some of you know, is a rare Cerbat strain registered Spanish Mustang w/ genetics unique to our country.  Whew! That's a mouthful.  Rare. Cerbat strain. Registered Spanish Mustang. Unique genetics. Our country. Then we have our flock of Navajo-churro sheep. They're always looking to break into the hay barn in the winter, and the garden in spring. "Get Away from that Barn, Sheep-Sheep" - trouble makers-  We hand shear yearly and churro wool provides hardy material for felting and puppy toys. Last, and not least, are photos of Jefe's own son, Rafa. Rafa is now five years old and carries equine genetics imported 500 years ago.

Oh wait-a-minute... last, and definitely not least, are photos of farm dogs, doing what farm dogs do best.... playing to the camera! They also make us feel warm inside when outside, it's very cold.

As we close the book on year 2024 we want to Thank You for supporting our small farm and work.  We continue to believe in the importance of our work, and your support means the world to us.

Our best to you in New Year 2025! - team Laszlo Family Farm
